Our Brags!

We work hard with our dogs, so pardon us while we blow our own horn!

Flynnn's Brags
February 22 & 24, 2001: After 7 months off and almost no practice, Flynn and Kirsten return to the AKC obedience ring and in 2 tries pick up the remaining 2 legs of Flynn's AKC CD - and score just 2 points out of first place.
July 2000: Flynn and Kirsten earn Flynn's ASCA CD in style at the WASCUNY July Sparkler: back-to-back High in Trials!!!
July 1, 2000: Flynn and Kirsten make their first attempt in the AKC obedience ring and bring home a first place ribbon and one qualifying score. Flynn said it was too hot and "You heel!" on the second day!
June 23, 2000: Flynn and Kirsten step into the ASCA obedience time for the first time and come home with Flynn's first CD leg!
March 2000 Flynn gets not only her CGC, but her TDI as well!

Teagan's Brags
June 23 & 24, 2000: Buck naked after weaning an awesome litter, Teagan goes west and takes an ASCA 5 point major and a reserve to a 4 point major at the Hoosier ASC's Daisy Clasic.
Oct. 3, 1999: Teagan and Heather take the points on the last day at Sampson, finishing Teagan's AKC Championship with another 4 point major!
Oct. 1, 1999: Teagan joins the "big guys" at Sampson with her mom Kirsten on the lead and takes Winner's, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite for a 4 point major.
Sept. 11 & 12, 1999: Out with handler Kent MacFarlane after a couple of years off, Teagan takes Winner's and Best of Opposite Sex in Pennsylvania.
March 30, 1997: Her first points - at the tender age of 10 months, Teagan takes a 3 point major from the 9-12 class with Kirsten handling on one of her first attempts in the show ring.
Feb 3, 1997: Teagan attends her first match, along with a number of her siblings, and comes home with BOBP, Group 1 Puppy, and is one of two considered for Best in Match! Thank you Betsy, for this wonderful girl and for handling her to this win!

Devin's Brags
July 6, 2001 Devin - took Winners Bitch and Best of Opp for four - her first major in AKC! Apparenly it was a very close call between her and the Reserve Winner's Bitch...Watermark Irresistable!
June 21, 2002 The 11 hour trip to Indiana was worth it! Devin finished her ASCA Championship with her fourth major under Joni Johnson!
May 12, 2002 Devin showed at the NYASA Spring Classic under Carol Duffy and took reserve to a five-point major under some VERY tough competition!
March 8, 2002 More bald than the previous weekend, Devin showed at Suffern, NY to Carol Duffy, going Winner's Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex over specials for 2 more points!
March 1, 2002: Devin dumped about 75% of her coat just in time for the shows she'd been entered in. Monticello's judge was one who begged her to behave in Cleveland (she was having a "where's mom???" meltdown), so when we found that he was judging in Monticello, we entered her. Our hopes sank when she got up one morning and left more than half her hair in the couch...Mr. Terricone actually liked her much better half out of coat, and placed her Winner's Bitch and Best of Opp with Maggie O'Neil handling! He leaned down an said to her lovingly at one point "I remember you!"
August 19, 2001: Reserve Winners Bitch at Tioga County Kennel Club under judge Stephanie Hedgepath with Mary Cummings handling.
August 12, 2001: Devin makes quite an impact on Judge Carol Duffy at the HONYASC Dawg Daze of Summer, where she goes Winners Bitch for five points, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex to her litter brother Kori! Thank you to Stephanie and Brittany Winters and Emmy Adasiewicz for "team handling" Devin to this win!
July 22, 2001: As usual, WASCUNY's July Sparkler had a ton of tough competition (some 70-odd Aussies, I'm told). Nevertheless, Devin walked away with a five point major under senior breeder judge Linda Casella! This was her first time out (ASCA) since November, and she was owner handled in the hot, humid July heat.
Nov. 4, 2000: Devin hits the ring for in earnest for the first time at HONYASC's first show, and brings home a Reserve to a 5 point major with Ethan Wheeler handling!
Sept. 24, 1998: Shortly after arriving home, Devin goes down to the NYASA Fall Festival and takes Best of Opposite Sex Puppy out of a large group of puppies (18) with Heather handling.

Carver's Brags

May 24 & 25, 2002 Carver and Grandma Emmy went to the well-attended Michigan shows and took Best of breed Puppy both days with an entry of at least 30 puppies, and won the 2-4 month puppy dog Sweeps class! His daddy took Best of Breed - what an awesome Breed-winning team!
May 21-23, 2002: Carver takes back-to-back-to-back BOBP at the Ohio Buckeye ASC shows with his "Grandma Emmy".
May 12, 2002: Best of Breed Puppy at the NYASA Spring Classic.
April 21, 2002: Carver takes Best of Opposite Sex Puppy to his "sister", Whisper, from the 2-4 month puppy class.

Piper's Brags

December 6 & 7, 2003 Piper went out a few times in the past year or so for practice, but has simply been immature. Seeing her every day, I've been unable to see the difference in her maturity, but apparently the judges do! Having only two hands, I dragged only two dogs to our recent ASCA show, too support the entry and gain experience if nothing else. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised to bring Piper home with her first points - 5-point and 4-point majors, and a BEST OF BREED win over specials to boot!!!
July 6, 2002 Piper made her AKC debut at the ripe old age of seven months and walked away with Reserve Winner's Bitch (to Devin, for 4 points), Best of Breed Puppy, and Puppy Group 2!!!

Bode's Brags

December 6 & 7, 2003 I suddenly realized that Bode had never set foot in the show ring - ever! Not as a pup, not in a match - never. He is much like his mother in never going through a gawky stage or falling apart, but simply getting bigger with age. Despite this, he has been obviously immature, and we've focused on more competetive dogs. I took him to our recent ASCA show to support the club and as a training experience for the young man, putting him in Am Bred to maximize his trips into the ring for this reason. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised when unpointed Mr. "I've Been Showing My Whole Life" came home on Sunday night with 2 4-point majors and a Best of Opp to his sister Piper!

Ferron's Brags

Mikki's Brags
